With our commitment to following CDC guidance for safety, GCU has made the thoughtful decision to cancel all upcoming Discover GCU events at this time. We encourage you to participate in our virtual GCU LIVE Experiences to discover campus from your home.
Welcome to Grand Canyon University! We are a regionally accredited, private Christian university in the heart of Phoenix where students can find their purpose and pursue the career of their dreams. Our nine colleges offer more than 200 academic programs in fields like engineering, business, healthcare and more.
Approximately 20,500 ground students* learn on our vibrant campus growing with brand-new academic buildings, suite-style residence halls and apartments, popular eateries, state-of-the-art athletic facilities and more. Campus becomes a safe home away from home where students can get involved, access supportive resources and make lifelong connections.
Concerned about graduating on time from a California university? GCU offers fast-track paths for you to graduate in less than four years, helping you save time and enter your career sooner. In fact, 66% of traditional GCU students graduating in 2016-17 did so in less than four years.
GCU is not impacted by class availability and our courses are available for scheduling when needed. Rather than funding another year of college, you may be able to start paying off any debt sooner and save money in the long run. Also, transfer students who complete their associate degree are not required to take any additional general education courses.*
*Transfer students are required to complete University Foundations (UNV) and Christian Worldview (CWV).

My roommates have become some of my closest friends and there is always something to do around campus.” – Kaitlyn Nelson, Bachelor of Arts in Government with an Emphasis in Legal Studies (Beaumont, CA)
